Using AI in Kerika is purely optional: you can decide to turn it off for your account if you like. Just go to your Manage Account page and in the OTHER SETTING you will see a switch to turn off AI if you like:
The AI Helper can be accessed from anywhere in Kerika, on the desktop or on mobile devices and tablets, by clicking on the AI button which appears at the bottom-left corner of the screen:
In this example, clicking on the AI button from the Home Page gives you two quick options: create a new board, and create a new template.
Our AI Helper takes your request, along with your recent history of requests and information about your account, and asks an external AI provider to create a response.
Right now we are using Anthropic’s Claude as our external AI provider, but we are always testing new AI models and it would be easy for us to switch in the future to another provider, like OpenAI’s ChatGPT
(If you are concerned about a loss of privacy because we use an external AI provider, you should consider turning off the AI Helper function for your account.)
>If you want to create a new board or template, the AI Helper will ask you a few questions to make sure it understands what you want to use the new board for, before creating it for you.
You can skip the questions if you have a reference source for the new board or template that the AI Helper can use, like in this example below where the user is asking the AI Helper to create a new template, using a specific website as the source of information:
We are constantly working on extending the AI Helper’s capabilities. Right now it works really well for creating new boards and templates, and in the near future it will also help you manage your boards better, and even get individual tasks done.
As we add capabilities, we will report them on our blog and update this page.
>You can have multiple AI conversations in Kerika, just like you would if you were using Claude or ChatGPT in your browser.
Buttons on the top right corner of the AI Helper will handle conversations for you:
The AI Helper works best if you keep different topics in separate conversations. That’s because with each request you make to the AI Helper, we also take your previous interactions with AI that are part of the same conversation and send that to the AI, so the AI knows better what you are requesting.
If you make requests about very different topics in the same conversation you won’t get good results: always keep separate topics in separate conversations. That’s easy with Kerika; there are no limits to how many different conversions you have going on.
If you are done with an old conversation and don’t expect to return to it, you can delete it.
>You can tell AI how good its response was, and that will really help with your future interactions with the AI Helper. Below each response you will see the following buttons:
You can use these buttons to 👍
We are still in the early stages of our AI implementation and right now your use of AI costs nothing.
We will continue to monitor how the AI Helper is used by our users, and if it turns out that usage is so high that our own costs rise too much, we may switch to a different scheme where each account gets a certain amount of free AI credits every month, with an option to buy additional credits when they run out.
(If, and when, we implement purchasing AI credits, this would be in addition to whatever you pay for your subscriptions.)
