Kerika's Search works across all the boards that you can access – not just the ones you own, but also the boards by other people who have decided to make them available to the public to view.
To use Search, just click on the Search bar that shows up on the top of every page in Kerika, and type in some text.
Within seconds, Kerika will bring back up to 50 items that match your search and order the results by relevance:
For every item that matched your search, Kerika tells you, at a glance, exactly how it matched: e.g. did the search match on the board's title, something in a card's description or chat, etc.
This makes it easy to sift through your results and find the right one, and when you do, just click on the Open button to go straight to the card or board that you are interested in.
Sometimes, though, you want to do a more specific search, and that's where Advanced Search comes in.
With Advanced Search you can zoom in on particular cards, where the text you are looking for is only found in the chat for example.
(Here's an example of using Advanced Search: find all the cards assigned to a particular person, that are Ready for Review.)
Kerika keeps privacy in mind even as you do a search: the search results shown to you only include those items to which you already have access.
For example, if a colleague has added you to one of her boards, your search will work on this board, but not on boards that she hasn't shared with you.
